CYT Response to Mitigation announcement

11/20/2020

Dear CYT family,

In an effort to align with the new mitigation guidelines in Illinois, CYT will be moving Illinois classes online starting November 23, 2020. Our hope is that the next few weeks of social distancing will allow for changes in the local COVID impact and allow us to return to in person classes. At this time, Wisconsin classes will continue to align with their local agency guidelines while meeting in person.

Class Coordinators will be sharing details regarding your online class connections and resources so we can support you as you spend time at home. We look forward to gathering again as soon as we are allowed to do so.

CYT's programming is based on coming together in community and sharing the gifts God has given us. We ask for your support as we dig deeper into the creativity required to share those gifts in this season.

We recognize that this season’s continued challenges bring unexpected twists and turns. Based on the outcome of these measures, our plan may need to change and we will be updating the community as soon as possible when that happens.

We know that this may not be the best option for some of you as you work through the current limitations in your area. If you need to make a change in your enrollment, please complete the 2021 Winter Class Change Form. Our standard refund policy is in place and listed in the instructions of the form.

Please stand with us in prayer as we trust in God’s power, love those around us, and choose hope in the coming days.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

Shine for Him,

Dear CYT Families,  As numbers of COVID cases continue to rise in Illinois and Wisconsin, and our schools and  communities are taking more precautions, we at CYT have taken the time to re-evaluate how we are planning our productions. With the holidays approaching, we recognize that families may be facing difficult decisions in regards to gathering.  In an effort to support the health of our community, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our productions until after the new year.

Rather than doing Winter shows and Spring shows, we’ll be doing just one set of shows this year in our first ever SWinter season

In the coming weeks, we’ll be working to create a new audition, rehearsal, and performance schedule for each of our 7 All-County shows. We are planning to keep the show line-up as is, pending show rights approval. Our goal will be to hold auditions no earlier than the weekend of January 29th. Any students that are enrolled in a Winter OR Spring class will be eligible to audition.

We’re excited that we will still be able to hold classes safely as planned.  We understand that some families may have enrolled in Winter classes for the sole purpose of auditioning for the show.  If that is the case for your family and you do not wish to continue with winter classes, we will provide a refund based on our standard refund policy. Submit your refund request at Winter 2021 Class Refund.

Our hope is that in postponing the productions, we will have a greater chance of seeing these shows through the rehearsal process and on to the stage.

With hope and determination,

Carol Engelhardt and Elle Sahin
