Directing Teams

CYT Chicago proudly produces fully-staged musicals, with outstanding lighting, sound, sets, and costumes. Cast sizes generally range from 50-100 kids, all between the ages of 8 and 18. CYT shows are a unique opportunity to work with up-and-coming talent in a fun and relaxed setting, while teaching them the importance of having a professional work ethic. These shows become magic with the help of directors, musical directors, and choreographers who are creative and can communicate that creativity in a productive and positive way.

Teaching at CYT

CYT Chicago has class locations throughout Chicagoland and Southeast Wisconsin. We serve children from ages 5-18 in our theatrical classes and summer camps. CYT's classes and productions run on a trimester schedule. 

We are always looking for gifted educators in all forms of acting, singing, dancing, improv, music, technical, and more.

Internships

CYT has many opportunities for college internships.  Stage direction, music, choreography, costume design, set building, marketing, graphic design, administration, and more!  Working with CYT is a great way to improve your skills, grow your knowledge, and gain experience working in all aspects of theater and business.  Most internships are available as part of our directing teams but others are available in our local CYT classes and at our home office in Cary, Illinois.
