If you love to play with color, design, and texture, grab your brush for this advanced make-up class! Create a masterpiece using an actor’s face as a canvas! Grab your make-up kit and brush to produce basic stage make-up as well as specialty features such as old age, facial hair, dirt, etc. Create face maps for each character using shadowing, feathering, and layering, and create specialty techniques like scars and burns. Stretch your creativity even further when you learn how to design hairstyles too!

Tahlia Root has been involved in theatre (both on and off the stage) from the age of 9 and is a graduate of CYT (2019). Tahlia graduated with her Bachelor's degree in 2022, and her Master’s degree in 2024. Throughout and post-college, Tahlia has found so much joy in participating in community theater productions and directing youth and adult theatre productions through CYT, schools, park districts, and private theater companies. Tahlia is absolutely ecstatic to share her love of the arts (especially character development and dramaturgy) with the young thespians of CYT!
