Description

If you want to get a speaking part in a show, you've got to be heard! In this class, students will work on their  speaking voice for the stage. The class will focus on teaching your student how to use their voice properly,  increase their volume, and diction, improve tone and voice quality, and how to interpret a character by using  their voice. Students will get plenty of practice speaking, reading scripts, and learning mini-monologues.

Joy has loved theater since she was a little girl growing up in a family that highly valued the arts. She wanted to share her passion with her own kids and was thrilled to discover CYT . Joy is a Worship Pastor's wife, homeschooling mama of 7, writer, singer/songwriter, and performer who can typically be found with a coffee in one hand and a book in the other.
