Description

Most musicals feature a dance ensemble that is tasked with telling part of the story through dance. The styles vary from show to show, but most find their roots in jazz, ballet, or tap. This class teaches students choreography and dance elements that can be found in popular musical numbers and will prepare students who are interested in being cast as a dancer in a show, with a special focus on "West Side Story". Students will learn choreography for a showcase piece featuring music from Broadway musicals.

This class is currently full. If you are interested in registering for this class, please fill out the Class Waitlist Form and register for another class. If a spot opens up, the office will email you before moving the registration.
