I have always enjoyed the creative arts. In high school, I was involved in theater, both on stage and backstage, and was a captain on my high school's Dance Team. I received an Associate of Arts degree from the College of Lake County, Grayslake, IL (where I took my first sign language class) and then continued my education at Barat College in Lake Forest, IL where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, Cum Laude. I earned my Montessori Directress Certification and taught for four years before deciding to homeschool our three children with my husband, Randy. I have worked with families with special needs children over the years, several of whom communicated via sign language. I have always enjoyed foreign languages, but my favorite by far is American Sign Language! I currently tutor students and adults in ASL. All three of our children are CYT alumni in both Lake and Kenosha Counties.
