CYT Chicago: Rockford Presents...

Come with me to see something strange unfold. Hear the weirdest take that was ever told…

When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach and launches him on a journey of enormous proportions! Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the giant peach, among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities! Before they know what is happening, the peach falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean. Facing hunger, sharks, and plenty of disagreements the residents learn to live and work alongside one another and discover that together, though they are peculiar, they are family.

Rockford, you should be so proud! We had an awesome weekend of auditions and callbacks and that’s all because of you! It was so fun to watch you put your best foot forward this weekend. We most definitely saw how much hard work and effort you put into this weekend, so thank you! Please know that we spent hours praying and discussing for each and every one of you throughout this casting process.

We know that there are a lot of emotions happening right now. Whether you landed the role you wanted or you feel stuck in the same spot- know that we love you and are praying for you and we are excited to see your skills as a performer grow. We want to encourage you to remember that you can learn and grow wherever you were placed.  Some of you may be very disappointed by where you ended up on this list and that is ok. Take a little time to be upset. I like to suggest the 24 hour rule. For the next 24 hours you can feel whatever you want; whether that is happy, mad, sad, indifferent or just disappointed. But when the 24 hours have finished, it is time to be a team. We want to encourage each other and be excited for each other as well as be excited for the story we get to tell. No matter how much importance you put into your role, the truth is that you are incredibly important to this process, to this show, to us as a team, and to our Heavenly Father.

Our team is ecstatic to begin this journey into a quirky story such as James. Come ready to work hard and give it your all! This process is going to be so fun and we cannot wait to start!  We see so much potential in you, Rockfordians! We love you so much!

Let’s get this show on the road!
