Lauren Leone Scholarship

Lauren Leone was a DuPage Chapter cast member who was in the midst of rehearsals for Shrek: The Musical in January of 2015 as well as a member of Project Voice when she was inflicted by a sudden aneurysm. As she struggled to survive, her CYT friends from Shrek as well as 16 previous productions rallied to pray, worship and support one another. On February 2, 2015, Lauren went home to her Lord.

Since Lauren had been profoundly impacted by attending the Judson Overnight Camp, her family desired to continue to bless others in sharing that same life-changing experience that their daughter was so deeply loved. During her Celebration of Life, a memorial fund was established to assist her family in continuing Lauren’s legacy of sharing the love of Jesus through the many facets of theater and especially the summer camps. Although she is not physically here, Lauren’s life has continued to impact those for God’s kingdom.
