Correct posture, breathing techniques, projection, diction, control of the support muscles, relaxed phonation, and vocal performance will be developed extensively in this class.

Stacy Ross

Stacy has a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Music Education from Roosevelt University in Chicago (99). She has been teaching in both public and private schools since then, taking a brief hiatus when her kids were born. As a music teacher, Stacy has taught general music, conducted choirs at every level, fully directed 3 musical productions and served as a vocal director for 7 or them. She also served as the choir director at St. Paul Lutheran Church for 7 years. Stacy is currently employed as the general and vocal music teacher in the Durand School District, also directing their show choir. The Ross family found their way to CYT nine years ago when their kids, Emily and Sam took their first class at the ages of 7 and 5. They have been involved with each of the last 23 shows that CYT Rockford Metro has put on the stage and have loved every minute of it. When Stacy isn't teaching her students at school or at CYT, you can find her helping new families get acclimated to CYT or working backstage at the hair and makeup table. Stacy is so grateful that God brought her family to CYT, not just for all that it has done to help her kids grow in their relationships with Christ AND grow their talents, but for the family that CYT has become to everyone in their home.
