Description

Musical theater contains many ensemble pieces which include strong harmonies and require teamwork.  In this class, we will cover various vocal techniques, develop and refine music reading skills, practice vocal expression, and much more.  We will pull pieces from various Broadway shows that contain strong choral harmonies to challenge and develop your vocal ability.  Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced vocalist, there will be something to learn and enjoy in this 10-week session.

Shannon Robertson

Shannon Robertson is a graduate of the Lawrence Conservatory with a degree in Vocal Music. She moved to Kenosha after college and has been a musical educator in Kenosha for over 30 years. She currently teaches at Kenosha School of Technology Enhanced Curriculum and directs two musical there per year. In addition to her school duties, Mrs. Robertson has a private voice studio. She is Master Adjudicator for the Wisconsin School Music Association and specializes in Musical Theatre and Classical Vocal solos and ensembles. She is certified through iTheatrics in Musical Theatre production. When Mrs. Robertson is not making music, she enjoys visiting NYC with her husband to see a show and visit their son, a professional actor and singer based in NYC.
