Class Description

The fundamentals of Jazz Dance are found in many other styles including Musical Theatre, while Tap dance is a great way to learn skills like body control, balance, and rhythm! Jazz dance often utilizes modern music and features syncopated movements, energetic choreography, and complex patterns. Students will be encouraged to demonstrate the foundational elements of jazz and tap dance in a piece to be performed at the end of class Showcase production.

Students are required to have tap shoes for this class to be used during the showcase performance.

If we have to transition away from in-person learning during the session, this class will continue online via live instruction and through the use of digital media.
