Come let your imagination and your creativity take flight, in a class where just about anything could be a potential prop. After all, one man's junk is another man's prop. We will be turning ordinary and not so ordinary stuff into Theatrical Properties.

Gretchen Heckel

My name is Gretchen Heckel. I have been married to my husband Nicholas for 18 years. We have two children Charles (13) and Sadie (9). I am a early childhood special education teacher. This is my 14th year teaching. I am currently teaching in a Pre-K blended program at Gavin Central school in Ingleside Illinois. I received my Bachelors degree from Southern Illinois University in early childhood education with an endorsement in special education. I completed my Masters degree in educational leadership and administration from National Louis University. This is my first year with CYT and 2nd show chairing/helping with props. Prior to CYT my son participated in a local youth theater starting at the age of 6. Where I volunteered in prop, sets, and costumes for various shows. I am looking forward to the opportunity to foster creativity in learning in a new capacity as a teacher for CYT.
