No Classes: March 24 & April 14 Mini-Show on Saturday, May 21st at Prairie Lakes Theater in Des Plaines
Joanna Nagle has had a deep love and sense of belonging in music since she played the flute for the first time in fourth grade. Beyond grade grade school and junior high band, she has since involved herself heavily in the choir program at Saint Viator High School, achieving the Senior Award for Excellent Achievement in Concert Choir as well as in the Chamber Singers ensemble. She is currently a cantor/accompanist at her home parish St. Peter the Apostle in Itasca. Joanna, though never herself taking classes or partaking in shows with CYT, has vicariously experienced through her younger sister CYT's commitment to growth and quality in theatrical/musical skill as well as their dedication to glorifying the Lord through these gifts. She has been on the directing team for McKane's Alice in Wonderland and currently is the vocal director for McKane's Tarzan. She is thrilled to share her passion for music with students at CYT!
Kaylee has always been an avid singer, dancer, and overall performer. In 2018, she graduated from Columbia College Chicago with her BA in Music (focusing on Vocal Performance, with a minor in Early Childhood Education). Complementary to performing at lounge venues, restaurants, and festivals in the Chicago-land area, Kaylee currently teaches private lessons for voice, and works as a full-time preschool teacher. She loves using music and movement as a means for group engagement and encourages students' individuality in every way.
Growing up with a mom who taught dance, she was immersed into the dancing and theatrical community at a young age. She began learning dance at age four, and hasn't stopped since. After practicing tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop, she started competing fourteen. Immediately after graduating high school, Kaylee began teaching dance classes at the Dundee Township Park District, and created dance workshops. She has choreographed two musicals, assistant directed three summer program musicals, and has been the lead director of "Legally Blonde: the Musical!".
