This course is designed to instill in the student an appreciation for this unique American art form and to give the student the opportunity to perform different types of Musical Theater. By the end of this course students will have a better understanding and appreciation for Musical Theater, they will be able to sing a song from a musical as a solo, duet, or ensemble as well as perform a scene from a Broadway or Off-Broadway musical. They will also learn dance techniques that are unique to specific musicals as they prepare to showcase their work at the end of the ten weeks
