Let your creativity take flight through dance, drama and singing. Jump into the magical world of musical theater by exploring dance choreography, vocal technique and how to portray a character. Become a triple threat through warm-ups, group activities, theater games and performance. By the end of class, you’ll be ready to take center stage and shine as one of the show-stoppers in the showcase!


Kaitlyn Serketich

Kaitlyn graduated from Viterbo University with a BFA in Music Theatre. Before the pandemic, Kaitlyn was performing with the Palace Theater in the Wisconsin Dells. Some of her favorite roles there have been Christine Colgate in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Sally Brown in A Charlie Brown Christmas. She has also worked at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse in Bigfork, MT. She was a part of four different musicals, her favorite being Into the Woods as Little Red Ridinghood. Some of her favorite shows that she has appeared in are 9 to 5: The Musical (Kathy/Dance captain), Shout! (Red Girl), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia) and West Side Story (Anybodys). Kaitlyn has also loved her time in entertainment with Six Flags Great America and Walt Disneyworld. She also loves the opportunity to work with children. She has been apart of multiple productions with First Stage Children's Theater both as a young performer, and now as an adult. She has taught and tutored dance for the past two years, and is very excited to collaborate with CYT.


Brandon Michaud

Brandon Michaud is a graduate of Rockford University. He was the first to graduate with a double major in BFA in Acting/Directing and BFA in Musical Theatre, with a minor in Dance, in the history of Rockford University. He studied various techniques such as; Lessac, Meisner, Laban Movement, Shakespeare, Comedy of Manners, Restoration, and Absurdism. He had numerous opportunities to direct multiple shows throughout his time there. Along with musical theatre classes where he learned how to carefully and uniquely craft songs in a variety of genres and performance venues. He was involved with Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Musical Comedy dance classes. He also earned a SAFD recommended pass for Sword Stage Combat. Brandon has worked professional in numerous Equity theatres throughout the country, and even overseas. Brandon has earned the status of EMC and may soon become equity. Constantly learning and growing as an actor is his passion in life and he is very excited for the next adventure whenever and wherever that may be.
