Create drama, humor and stories on the spot. This class will give you the basic principles of improvisation and give you the confidence to embrace everything that is thrown at you when you don't have a script in your hands. Learn team-building skills that will strengthen your ability to play with your partners on stage. In this class that solely focuses on short-form improv, you will learn how to live “in the moment" and confidently say “Yes, and…” to anything.
Alex was involved in CYT from 2000-2009, and performed in over 20 musicals, as well as taught several classes, during that time. After leaving CYT, she obtained her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and Athletic Training from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Her hiatus from CYT ended in the spring of 2018 when she was blessed with the opportunity to teach improv, and she's now the current coach of CYT Chicago's first place improv team (shout out to "Always Hearsing!")! She's so excited to be back involved with CYT, and can't wait to see the ways in which the Lord uses this ministry to bless other students!
