Description

Build on the skills learned in the  fundamental drama classes. Polish your auditions, give depth to your characters, break down a script, study scenes, and master confidence on stage. Students will have the chance to work on monologues that will become part of their performance repertoire, script analysis and interpretation, character development and discussion, strengthen basic acting skills while learning new tools to reach greater potential on stage.

Kristi Peterson

Kristi Lee Peterson is a seasoned singer/dancer/actor and has performed in numerous community and professional theater productions for over 30 years. She has taught dance for the Harlem School Districts Fine Arts Program, Rockford College (now Rockford University), Rockford Dance Company and as owner/director of Danceworks & More. She has also choreographed numerous school and community productions throughout the State-line area. Kristi began teaching with Christian Youth Theater after her daughter became involved in her first production, and has been happily inspiring creativity in her students ever since. Most recently she had the opportunity to be the Assistant Director for CYT’s Aladdin JR, which was performed at the beautiful Coronado Theater. During the day Kristi works for RPS205, and spends her free time listening to musical soundtracks, snuggling with her three fur babies, and traveling the world.
