Class Description

Supporting cast are the spice of life! Students will learn to create a believable and imaginative character that will be memorable on stage and be challenged to become the character. Improve facial expression, character voices and audition techniques. Apply what you have learned to scenes that will be performed in the showcase!

If we have to transition away from in-person learning during the session, this class will continue online via live instruction and through the use of digital media.

Jen Salansky

I love theater, I love Jesus, and I love kids of all ages! CYT has been a perfect fit for me and my family for many, many years. I began teaching for CYT in 2014. I have taught all ages in drama development and some musical theater courses. I began with Tune Town and still have a huge part of my heart in that age group. However, I have loved teaching older teens in the area character development, as well as everything in between. My specialty remains to be character development in drama and comedy. I grew up on the stage and continue enjoying stage performance today. Although my education in theater is minimal with several College of DuPage courses, I have years of experience directing, producing, and performing in all aspects of theater.
