Description

Tap dance is a great way to learn skills like body control, balance, and rhythm! Tap dance numbers are often featured in rousing ensemble numbers in musicals. Tap can be challenging both physically and mentally, but is always tons of fun! In tap, you'll execute choreography featuring syncopated rhythmic combinations including time steps.

* Students are required to have tap shoes for the showcase performance. *

My name is Sarah and I'm a CYT Lake County Alumni! I performed in 8 productions with CYT before I went off to college and got my B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. Now, I'm a Systems Engineer at Astronautics Corporation of America, and a director/class instructor! I've been so blessed to be able to return to the program that helped form me into the person I am today; now with the new responsibility of helping to form the next generation of musical theatre nerds into singing, dancing followers of Christ. ~Semper Gaudete~
