Class Description

In this class we will work on dancing with a partner. Partner work is an essential part of most dance styles. In several styles it is an addition to the general dance vocabulary while in others it is the main component. Students will dance in duos or trios, working together using lifts, tricks, and leverage strung together with choreography. Styles may include (but are not limited to): modern, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and Broadway. The goal of this class is to have the students become comfortable dancing and relying on a partner no matter what style of dance they are in

Jessica Denetz

Jessica has been with CYT since she was 18. She performed in two shows in Kenosha county before graduating. Since then she has taught many classes for CYT including, Tune Town, Musical Theater, Drama, and Jazz dance. She has also worked at many CYT summer camps and had been part of directing teams in Kenosha and Milwaukee county. When not teaching with CYT Jessica is a nanny who (in her spare time) likes read, write, and cuddle with her cats!

Nicole Johansen (Denetz)

Nicole is a CYT alum, having performed in 4 shows before she graduated. Outside of CYT she has taken beginner ballet, hip hop, and swing dance. Dancing is her passion. She loves to pop and lock and jam and break (is that even legal?). When she is not dancing she is a nanny for 3 little boys. She loves Jesus, her cat, and her husband, in that order. ;)
