Description

Musical theater incorporates many types of dance. In this class, we will be learning the similarities and differences between dance styles including ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, and more! We will study the basic steps, as well as challenge our skills with more advanced and complex moves. The final performance will celebrate all the styles we will study highlighted with a few different musical theater songs!  Can’t wait to see you in class!

While I started out with CYT as a parent, I am now jumping full swing into teaching dance to these wonderful kids! I have 20 years of experience in dance and figure skating, and was actively involved in theater for 6 years. I have taught dance, skating and drama for several years and now I am thrilled to continue teaching with CYT. I have 6 kids actively involved with CYT and I am very grateful that God has granted me a gifting to be able to share with my family and others in this amazing organization.
