Description

Most musicals feature a dance ensemble that is tasked with telling part of the story through dance. The styles vary from show to show, but most find their roots in jazz, ballet, or tap. This class teaches students choreography and dance elements that can be found in popular musical numbers and will prepare students who are interested in being cast as a dancer in a show. Students will learn choreography for a showcase piece featuring music from Broadway musicals.

While I started out with CYT as a parent, I am now jumping full swing into teaching dance to these wonderful kids! I have 20 years of experience in dance and figure skating, and was actively involved in theater for 6 years. I have taught dance, skating and drama for several years and now I am thrilled to continue teaching with CYT. I have 6 kids actively involved with CYT and I am very grateful that God has granted me a gifting to be able to share with my family and others in this amazing organization.
