Most musicals feature a dance ensemble that is tasked with telling part of the story through dance. The styles vary from show to show, but most find their roots in jazz, ballet, or tap. This class teaches students choreography and dance elements that can be found in popular musical numbers and will prepare students who are interested in being cast as a dancer in a show. Students will learn choreography for a showcase piece featuring music from Broadway musicals.

Hi I'm Mollie! I am a CYT alumn and am so excited to be back involved and sharing my love of dance with our young actors. Outside of musical theatre and dance I work in the sustainable fashion industry, working to reduce fashion waste and create a more circular fashion economy. Rock climbing, filming and editing videos, meditation, and public speaking are a few of my other loves, just to name a few!
