Ballet and Jazz are the foundation of dance. Ballet challenges kids to be respectful, diligent, and poised, while Jazz dance often utilizes modern music and features syncopated movements, energetic choreography, and complex patterns. In this class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of ballet technique, barre exercises, and across-the-floor work for both styles. Students will be encouraged to demonstrate the foundational elements of ballet and jazz dance in a piece to be performed at the end of class showcase.
