In this class, students will get an introduction into the ancient art of clowning — finding their playful, silly sides and learning to tickle funny bones in the circus tradition of clowning. Various clown skills, clown history, traditions, discovering how to use face and body to convey emotions, and the rules of funny will be covered. So don’t run off and join the circus until you have had this class!

Taught by a Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Clown College graduate who has worked over 30 years in the clown business.

Lanore Podolske

Mrs.Podolske has a degree from the DePaul Theater School. She studied costume design and worked many years as a freelance costumer in the Chicago area. She attended Ringling Bros.and Barnum & Bailey Clown College and has worked as a clown for over thirty years. She studied improvisation with Players workshop of Second City and with Del Close at Improv Olympics. She currently performs with a Christian Improv team,Well Versed Comedy throughout the Chicagoland area. She has taught improvisation,clowning and drawing classes in several homeschool groups and homeschooled her three children.
