Chip Root

I know many of you, or your kids, from having been a CYT parent for 7+ years, but for those that don’t know me, my name is Chip Root and I will be spending this session helping your kids into the Renaissance and Elizabethan England as we bring Shakespearean theatre to life. In addition to being a CYT parent, I have been in IT management for many years, and work in that capacity at Awana Clubs International, based in the northwest suburbs. Personally, I began acting in early childhood in a youth theater program. I continued learning the arts as a theatre major in college, and after many years of not using those skills, God provided Spotlight/CYT as an answer to prayer where I have been able to teach and direct a number of classes and shows. Simply said, this organization has been a gift to me, personally, and to my family, and I look forward to this session of work with you as we study, and perform, the work of the Bard.
