 The Sound of Music is one of the most beloved Rogers and Hammerstein musicals of all time. Maria Rainer, a free-spirited nun is sent to be a governess to seven children of Captain Von Trapp. Maria's love of music and of life, soon endears her to the children and even the strict of Captain begins to deeply admire her. From the open-hearted innocence of the title tune to the uplift of "Climb Every Mountain" to the folk simplicity of "Edelweiss" to the charm of "Do-Re-Mi" and "My Favourite Things," The Sound of Music continues to delight families with its memorable story and music!Running time is approx. 2 hours for public performances, 1 hour & 30 minutes for school day performances. |
