Notes from the AC…

Congratulations to all those who were cast in ‘Peter Pan’. We had 111 children come out and audition for the show; we were able to cast 97! 

Please take time as a family to pray for those who are going through the process of disappointment at not making it into the show, and for those who did not get the roles they had hoped to get.  

For those of you who did not make it into the show, you will be receiving a letter from the directing team in the next 10 days.  I hope you will prayerfully consider joining us in making this show a success by working in other areas of the show.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

IF YOU PUT NEGOTABLE DOWN: We may be contacting you this week to drop those conflicts.  Please be prepared to drop them.

REHEARSALS ARE AT CHRISTIAN LIBERTY ACADEMY.  Follow the signs

Friday : 5:30-9:00   Full Cast…program pictures, wear or bring a dark shirt with no writing on it. There may be some down time for some of you, bring something to do to keep you busy.( If you are the photographer for the show you will need to be there for Friday and Saturday to take pictures)

 
Saturday: 10-2 Full Cast….program pictures, wear a dark shirt with no writing on it for program pictures. At the end of rehearsal we need many hands to help put the room back together and get items back to the closet upstairs. Thanks for the help.

Parent Meeting 12-2pm: THIS IS A DON’T MISS EVENT!  Lots of fun, laughs, fellowship, and all the information you ever wanted to know :)  One parent must attend, Thanks.


PARENT COMMITTEE LISTS will be available at this 1^st Parent Meeting. Please be flexible ... you may be asked to serve on a committee you did not volunteer for. You also may be asked to CHAIR a committee even if you did not mark that as an option. Thank you in advance for your time; many hands make light work and lots of new friendships.

If you can sew a straight line and would be willing to be on costumes please email me by Wednesday.  We can always use more help on this committee.  Thanks


THESE ROLES WILL NEED TO BRING A $20 DOLLAR DEPOSIT FOR THEIR SCRIPTS:
Peter Pan, Wendy, Michael, John, Hook, Smee, Noodler, Curly, Grimlee, Slightly, Cecco, Tootles, Jukes, Nibs, Starky, Tigerlily, Mrs. Darling, Twin #1, Twin #2,
Please put your money in an envelope with your childs name on it and turn it in on Friday or Saturday. The deposit will be refunded to you once you return the script at Strike Party.  If you do not return your script your money will not be refunded.

THERE WILL BE A $10 DEPOSIT FOR CD’S.
Please put in an envelope with your childs name on it and turn it in on Friday or Saturday. All families must get a Cd. Cd’s must be returned by the last rehearsal. Your deposit will be given back during dress rehearsals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING THIS WEEKEND!
If you get a full script:  A binder and pencil and $20 deposit for script and $10 for a cd
All other cast member must bring $10 for a cd

INTERESTING TIDBITS:

AFTER THE FIRST WEEKEND YOU NEED TO COME OFF BOOK FOR THE UPCOMING WEEKENDS SCENES.  This is not optional.

NO ONE SHOULD GET THEIR HAIR CUT OR DYED OR CHANGED IN ANY WAY WITHOUT DIRECTOR APPROVAL.

PARENTS OF CAST WHO WILL BE FLYING NEED TO BE AT THE PARENT MEETING SO WE CAN TALK ABOUT THE FLYING.

You may not add any new conflicts.  Please respect the directors time by being committed to the dates you wrote down.


-MODESTY FOR BOYS AND GIRLS -- Come to rehearsals ready to work & wear appropriate, comfortable clothing. NO ABC's! (No exposed abs, boxers, booty cracks, bra straps, "cheeks", cleavage...)

SNACKS AND WATER BOTTLES will be available at all rehearsals for .50 a piece. And we will have some rehearsals where pizza can be purchased. I will send out pizza forms ahead of time for you to be able to order them.

We have a lot of NEW FAMILIES this semester. Veteran parents WE NEED YOU!! Please take time to get to know our new parents and help them through what can feel very overwhelming. Please encourage your children to meet and help the new cast members too.  Let us seek to Glorify God in our actions and words this session.

As always you can keep update with all the fun, informative CYT COOK News by going to the Callboard at www.cytchicago.org on a weekly basis.  I will not be sending out weekly emails. All information will be found on the Callboard. You need to check it weekly to keep updated.


Alrighty folks, I think I have covered it all.  Please note I will not be available till Wednesday night.  I will be taking a couple of days off to reconnect with my family and if I am feeling daring enough, maybe even clean my house
